Caring for your Personalised Embroidered Item

Thank you for choosing Jacey Stitch Boutique.

Each item is carefully embroidered with love and attention to detail.  Following these simple care instructions will help keep your personalised item looking beautiful for years to come.

Washing

• Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
• Wash with similar colours.
• Turn garments inside out before washing where possible.
• Do not use bleach or harsh detergents.

Drying

• Air dry where possible.
• Avoid tumble drying, as excessive heat may affect both the fabric and embroidery.

Ironing

• If ironing is required, turn the garment inside out.
• Avoid ironing directly over the embroidery.
• Use a cool to medium heat setting.

Embroidery Backing

To help protect delicate baby skin, we apply a soft embroidery backing to the reverse of the design.  This creates a smooth barrier between the embroidery stitches and your baby's skin.

After a few washes, the backing may begin to soften and peel away.  This is completely normal and expected.  By this stage, the embroidery itself will have softened, making it comfortable to wear without the backing.

This extra step is one of the ways we help ensure our personalised clothing is as gentle, comfortable and baby-friendly as possible.

General Care

• Keep embroidered items away from direct heat where possible.
• Store garments clean and dry.
• Take extra care with personalised items, as each one is individually embroidered and made especially for you.
